![]() I don't see a solution other than another hard reset and a painstaking, one-by-one check to see what may be the cause. I've tried it before with my first encounter of this problem and it did not fix the problem then. I'll do so and run it and see what happens. I'm still in the process of installing apps from scratch here and haven't installed Onyx yet. I'm also familiar with Onyx and have used it before numerous times. ![]() I did, however, install and uninstall Sophos Antivirus to see if that was the problem since the software itself had changed so much since the last time I had to install Sophos years ago. Utilities I use are XtraFinder, Little Snitch, App Cleaner, CleanMyMac, Carbon Copy Cloner which also haven't been problematic for a very long time. It has trouble discovering any of my BT devices. I have also been trying to troubleshoot ongoing Bluetooth issues with the MBP. My go-to browser is Google Chrome and I use WOT, uBlock, https everywhere, etc - again, extensions I've used for many years that aren't suspect. but they too haven't caused the same problem before. The very last installs right before my recent discovery of the error have been oddball browsers like Sleipnir, Waterfox, Seamonkey, etc. They too have never been flagged by the antivirus. I use Ableton and various paid VSTs from friends. I do have a lot of audio/music software installed that I'm suspecting as culprit. They're mainly apps I use for work and school that haven't really caused any trouble previously. I have various apps installed that shouldn't be problematic since they're apps I've used previously that hadn't caused problems. I run El Capitan on a Mid-2012 Macbook Pro (non-retina) and I'm still in love with it and don't ever want to replace it.Īny help would kindly be appreciated as it's taken me over a week now to restore stuff from a blank canvas and I'd like to avoid having to do that ever again.
